I spent the past month on vacation in Japan, visiting friends from college and just generally decompressing from entirely too much work in the states. While in Tokyo, I met up with D.K. (Kaiten Patissier, Good Luck Natsuki) and Isshiki (Area 2048, Made in Wired) at a bar in Shin-okubo, and while our conversation touched on pretty much everything you would expect at an indie developer get-together, one thing that we spent a good deal of time on, and which both D.K. and Isshiki were very adamant about, was the subject of getting more Japanese games into the west and vice versa. I've written up a fair bit of what we talked about that night as well as some of my own impressions over at my site. Tim liked the piece and suggested I abuse the front page here to generate some hits, so here it is:
