GameInformer's Indie Week Coverage on IGF 2010

GameInformer is running a special seven-day coverage on all indie games that received nominations in this year's Independent Games Festival, with the event culminating in an announcement of the winners and pictures from the awards presentation ceremony to be posted. There are a pair of features already up on the site, interviews with past winners and present nominees, plus IGF chairman Simon Carless also chipped in with a couple of interesting thoughts as well. A definite bookmark item for the next two weeks, certainly.

Indie Game Pick: Flotilla (Blendo Games)

Brendon Chung's turn-based strategy game Flotilla is now available to download from the official site. There's a 60MB demo that you can try, while the full game costs $10. The trial version also includes an option to test out the two-player mode for both adventure and skirmish battles, although one of the players has to to plug in an Xbox 360 controller to play.

Windows only currently, but Brendon will also be releasing the game for the Xbox360 Live Indie Games channel soon.

Freeware Game Pick: Air Pressure (Bento Smile)

Bento Smile's Air Pressure is a visual novel with original graphics and music, featuring quite a number of branching story paths but only three endings to discover. The entire game takes about ten minutes to play through, and Terry even liked it enough to make a mention of it.

In addition to the Windows build, there are Mac and Linux versions available to download as well.
