As spotted by sister site GameSetWatch, Receipt Racer is a collaboration between developers Joshua Noble and undef, and is possibly the most clever idea we've seen in a good while. Using a receipt printer and projected light, the duo were able to create a game that you can play on receipt paper.

A race track is randomly printed onto the receipt paper, and as it fires out of the machine, you can use a standard PlayStation 3 controller to move the dot around on the paper. If the dot collides with a 'car' or the edge of the track, the game ends with a BOOM and your final score.

OK, so it's a bit of a waste of paper, but it's still a brilliant concept all the same. If you want to try Receipt Racer out yourself, you can download the source code and the Mac version from the official site, where details on how to set it all up can also be found.
