Trailer: Qasir Al-Wasat (Aduge Studio)

Let's take a break from the onslaught of IGF news for a moment to check out something not pertinent to the competition. Qasir Al-Wasat is definitely one of the more intriguing stealth action-adventure games I've seen recently. Set within the confines of a single fateful night, you play as an invisible assassin tasked with the extermination of three targets. Fragile and easily disposed of, you must somehow sneak past a batallion of unsuspecting guards. It really isn't as easy as it sounds. Though invisible to the human eye, you can still be heard. You'll also be spotted if you run around drenched in your victim's blood too but that goes without saying, right?
While I'm definitely approving of the visuals, it's the protagonist that has my curiosity piqued. It looks like you're going to play as a member of the djinn, one with limited empathy towards the human world. I have my fingers crossed that this will mean that we'll see something spun out of Arabic lore rather than an evil version of the genie from Disney's Aladdin.
Due for release this winter, Qasir Al-Wasat will be available for the PC and Mac. You can check out the website here.
