Rainbow Wars is a pretty good arena shooter by Luke Schneider of Volition Inc., responsible for delivering the Descent series among other projects. A dual analog gamepad works well here, although the mouse and keyboard combination isn't too shabby either.

Use the left mouse button to warp, and hold the right mouse button to charge your special attack. A nice addition is the option to continue playing from any stage previously attempted, but the easy difficulty only allows access to the first ten waves. Click on design ideas to begin downloading.
