Metroid Cubed is an almost complete web-based version of the original NES Metroid, but using pre-rendered voxels based objects.

The website is also home to many other Nintendo-inspired demos.

4 fps, even when 'hog cpu to increase fps' was clicked D:

Paul, are you using Vista by any chance? Shockwave is totally unoptimized for Vista. This should be fixed by the end of the year, when Adobe releases a Vista/Intel Mac version of Director MX.Normally Metroid Cubed should have no trouble running full speed on any 1Ghz+ computer. Even a 733Mhz could give you 20-30 fps.

I'm using Win XP actually. CPU: 2.0 GHz AMD processor. Maybe I should try it in IE instead of Firefox?
