Louis Ferina:

I plan to finish the game within a year from now. Most of the coding is done, which is the toughest part for a mathematically challenged artist like myself.

It's tough to determine the scope of the game since I haven't built a full level yet. I'm planning (hopefully) 6 different worlds and 10+ levels based on each world. One level would be about 4x-6x larger in width and height than the demo level so there would be some exploration involved and not just a Metal Slug\Contra horizontal shooter.

I'm planning is a shield that would use up the same charge bar as the gun does. Other than that, there will be all the usual action game items: powerups, various weapons, secret areas etc.

Looks wonderful, I'll give it a go later this afternoon :)

If the author changes the bloody horrific building grappling nonsense so that I don't plummet to my death all the time this could be pretty damn sweet.Honestly, it's not hard to design a better system.

It took a little getting used to but once I got the hang of it, I actually had no trouble at all personally.

The grappling did take some getting used to, I didn't find out how that works until I read the readme - there should be some ingame hint for lazy bums like me :)The two things I found are mentioned on the forums already: The shooting sounds are awful, and sometimes you get to walk mid-air. The circumstances when that happens seem to be: You jump off a building, fall, and then try to hang onto the wall right when you hit the floor. Not sure if all those things are needed, but that's when it happened to me :)Other than that, great graphics, the movement feels really smooth, and the gameplay is nice too.Oh, and I play on a dual screen, whenever I died it reset the window back onto screen 1 from my 2nd monitor.

Aaargh! WASD controls! They're an absolute, gobsmacking nightmare for people who aren't on standard Qwerty keyboards (like my Azerty, which is standard here). Got to look up the numbers for the cursor keys so I can actually play this thing

Ok, got the controls to work and gave it a try. Pretty cool. Bit of a lack of different enemies, but that'll probably come. I'll be keeping an eye on this one (even though it uses WASD, and every designer that puts those Qwerty-specific controls in their games should be shot)
