Just a little teaser of what's to come from Cryptic Sea.

A gameplay video from 2D Boy's World of Goo will be posted this coming Monday.

Weeell, OK - don't get me wrong - I love Gish but gameplay-wise this looks EXACTLY like the old title... I don't want another game that is exactly like the first one - Gish was wonderful because it (he) was original.

Yeah that was the first thing I tough about but I trust them, they won't make a same game !!!Sorry for bad english.

I hope this time they make a version that is playable on lower end cards. Gish is still not playable on a FX 5500. It's a crap card but still...

Well, Endurion - dont'cha think that it's time to change your graphics card? If Gish 1 didn't run well (dynamic lighting I guess) then Gish 2 won't run well either and I don't see a reason why it should... The version numbers of graphics cards have meanwhile almost doubled and their performance quadrupled or sth. It's not even as if a new(er) card was expensive... All I know is that Gish ran perfectly smooth on my GF6800GT I had at that time.

Isn't the processor mostly to blame if the game runs slowly? I'm not very familiar with video cards and their programming, but I would assume that hefty calculations like physics and dynamic lighting are done by the CPU rather than the GPU. (But please, correct me if I'm wrong)

Yeah, well - Endurion only said something about his GPU so I assume he met the processor specs. =)Besides - Gish is 2D but it does have dynamic lighting which could slow down the game if you had a slow GPU... Hmm... A really, really slow GPU - slower than GF5500 for sure...So yeah, I guess it's not the GPU after all. ^^

A AMD Sempron with 2800 MHZ (effectively 2 GHz) ought to be enough i think :) At least more than the constant 1 fps i get. It's definetively something they do with OpenGL, i had that effect on ONE other game which was a Ludum Dare entry.Something with the stencil buffer i reckon.I'd really love to try this ;)

It's only two weeks of development so I assume they haven't touched the gameplay yet. It's just lighting tech at the moment.

Apparently they have since we can see a moving blob of tar (a.k.a. Gish ^^) in the movie. =)

What I mean is, it looks identical to the blob from the last game. So I assume they are just using the same code for now.

Hey, why don't you properly embed videos? I just don't get it at all.

What's the music????
