Monster Cats Nekonikoban is a Three Minute Game Competition entry by Fumuyume, in which players have to collect as many items as they possibly could within the time limit for high scores.

The game plays out like a Pac-Man variation, in which talismans can be acquired and used for temporary invincibility against all the other ghosts. Picking up the small blue object changes the other half of the screen, usually populating it with more of the same items but with different maze patterns.

A control configuration program is included.

Sounds like Pac-Man C.E.

Could anybody explain what the 3-Minute competition is, exactly? I can't believe that someone could make such a game in 3-minutes and at least Petit Fighters doesn't take exactly 3-minutes to clear or something...

Entries in the Three Minute Game Competition limits the playing time of each game to three minutes. In recent revisions of the contest, RPGs are allowed to have three hours' worth of gameplay instead of 3 mins.

Does anyone know what this game was programmed with? I imagine that information might be found in one of the read-mes, but my Japanese isn't that great.
