« YoYo Games Competition No. 2 Announced | Main | Flash Game Pick: Coil (Cryptic Sea) »

Shift is a platformer with puzzle elements based on the idea of shifting dimensions, not unlike one of Nitrome's controversial release from last year. Use the cursor keys to move your character, and press the space key to jump. The left shift key can be used to switch positions.

The game is rather short, but an online high score table which tracks players with the quickest completion time has been included to increase replayability by a small measure.

This is just great ! Shift is a short but brilliant puzzle-platform game with a unique gameplay element. It is mostly a relaxing experience, given its low difficulty. And the little touches of humour are very funny. Recommended !

i cant get past the level shown in the picture, this game is fucking retarded...

I was not impressed by this. It's slow and obtuse at times. They try to invoke a sense of urgency with the timer but it really doesn't manage it, likely because there is only ever one route through the stages, so you can't optimize your time by being clever.

More over, the humor they stole and mutilated from Portal just felt like a copout, not good writing.

If you can't get passed that level, I don't think it's the game that's retarded. This is a great concept.
