In Yaruhara's arena shooter Nanosmiles, players have to collect inactive options scattered around each area and use them to inflict damage on the enemies. Hold the Z key to activate your targeting system. Your weapons will automatically fire at targeted enemies if the same button is held down. Press the X key to make your ship travel quicker.

Note: This new version features sixteen levels, twelve more than the original demo released shortly before Comiket 73.

It was interesting, and the little animated intro cracked me up, but I found the game a bit too frustrating, with the tight corridors and hard-to-guide/bouncy options as well as an inability to tell what exactly is going on at times. The enemy projectiles blend too easily with the rest of the stuff on screen.

Thanks for playing!
I'm author of nanosmiles.

I released English version of nanosmiles today.

Thanks a bunch Dong, I'm really enjoying Nanosmiles, it reminds me of Frozz'd but with an arena shooter twist to it. Loads of fun.

It is really fun. The unique controls gives me sort of an RTS vibe and the music is great. I spent like more time on the last level than on the rest of the game combined. That was pretty frustrating, but still an awesome game.

such a great game, am i right in that it was made in game maker? i never knew it was so powerful!
