Freeware Game Pick: Karoshi (Jesse Venbrux)
Karoshi, a mix between a puzzle and a platformer game, is all about getting yourself killed. Each new level (of which there are 25 in total) presents a new challenge, and often the solutions are different from what you think. There's some humor, some weirdness, and an interesting boss fight at the end.
Most stages are solved quickly once you figure them out, and the game takes about half an hour to finish. You jump with Z and if you've found a gun you can shoot with X.
"Inspiration, amongst other things, has been I Wanna Be The Guy as well as Psychosomnium by cactus", says the creator.

You mean the one with a big K? The K of "keyboard"?

Oh, dude. That's *mean*.
I never get those puzzles, hence me coming back here for tips.
Sorted now though.

I hate it when someone lays out the ground rules for a puzzle game, then breaks those rules for the solution to a puzzle. "The active buttons are arrows, X, and Z."
I also call foul on level 24 for related reasons.

Level 24 drove me mad for a while too. I'm pretty sure the solution I finally used wasn't the correct one.
Nice find, Tim!

how do you get killed by the final final boss?
Posted by: gustav | March 4, 2008 5:31 AM
By the way, Karoshi is Japanese for "working oneself to death"
Posted by: CrunchyFrog | March 4, 2008 5:43 AM
it's very humorous.
especially press 'K'.
but, I wonder why many peoples use japanese to title.

I'm the only one that can't pass level 5? :'D
Wtf I have to do?
Posted by: Davide | March 4, 2008 12:32 PM
Karoshi is the term for when a japanese office worker literally works himself to death.

Stuck on level 5, too.

For level 5 you have to complete the circuit. Then you want to avoid touching the electrified blocks or else you could get hurt.

Jarkov, can you give me more details?
How can I stop the trunks into these pending boxes?
Posted by: Anonymous | March 4, 2008 8:01 PM
That's not what you have to do anonymous. There are other spots that the blocks need to go... once you find that out, the yellow blocks will appear.
I've been stuck on level 24 since I downloaded =C

In Final Final Boss there is an invisible block on the far right.

Thanks Quetzocotol!
I figured out the right way to beat level 5! Now I'm stuck on level 23, but I try it only 2 times.
Anyway I'm having a lot of fun with this game. Very well done.

i get it. you don't have to go under the box, the ground disappears and you simply jump off.
it was funny and stupid.
