GarageGames' InstantAction web site is now open to the public to register and play, though only four games are available at the moment. Multiplayer 3D games like Marble Blast Online, Think Tanks and Screw Jumper runs quite well from the browser, but the best games (e.g. Fallen Empire Legions, Caravel Games' Frog and Mice, Metal Drift, Ace of Aces and Rev) couldn't come fast enough as the ones which can be played right now are rather lacklustre if it wasn't for team play features.

Note: Some people have commented that InstantAction screws up Firefox after the plug-in installation, but it works fine for me. Proceed only with caution.

It's about time! I guess that invite I sent ya has no point anymore I think.... :P

It's about time! Ya'll are quite lucky, but it's true the games are quite a bore. The only game I found amusement was Marble Blast online, and that was only when playing with others. The other available right now aren't very fun. (-_-)(p

The premise is great, being able to quickly play a game and switch between them, while always actually playing together with other people. Loading times are quite a factor deciding on what one wants to play at what time, so if they are practically non-existant that's just great :)
But I can only agree to what has been said so far, the games aren't much fun. At least judging from the trailer, though, some nice ones are coming up. Especially Fallen Empire: Legions looks intriguing. It doesn't "coincidentally" happen to be connected to Tribes in a way or another?
Oh and a multiplayer World War I dogfighting game? I want..

MisterX - Fallen Empire is more than just 'coincidentally' connected to Tribes. It's by the original Tribes team. Basically a new Tribes game, just without the official liscence.

As for the games available now, Marble Blast and Screwjumper are worth a quick play or two. And for free, I can't complain. Especially as they're also games sold via Xbox Live Arcade.

I see, that's the kind of thing I thought of :)

And why, yes, of course, as the free games to play in your coffee break they are definitely worthwhile. So far it just wouldn't be enough to make me pay for it, I suppose. But thinking of the platform ever growing, new games getting developed for it and new content being added, I'm really interested in seeing how this is going to evolve.

X: that's the key. It's like the weather here in Oregon, if you don't like it, wait a minute. We're going to be constantly releasing new games - of all kinds - and new levels and version and so forth, all the time.
