If anyone is interested, there was also a group of people who did arrangements of most of the soundtrack. The project can be found here:

They don't have any rhythm D:

yeah, not bad, but at times sounds like a broken player piano or something

Of Cave Story Remix, I think Grass Stains is the best. The others are just meh.

Better watch out for these appearing in The Underside!

Chentsov, Never Die is one of the top five best songs ever. It sure the hell ain't meh.

Love Cave Story remixes in whatever form they come. Thanks, indiegames!

HAHA was very suprised to see this here. I am actually the guy on the right piano in that video.

I just wanted to quickly point out that these mp3's and video were recorded live and without any rehearsal at the most badass videogame music festival called Magfest in Virginia US.

The video is from a room I started there this year called Jamspace where we basically setup a stage, a few keyboards, guitars, amps, lights, and just kind of watched what happened.

So yea these recordings may be a bit rough, but it was basically unrehearsed and with a group of people that never played together before.

If you like that sort of thing, the next magfest is in January 2009, there are more details here: http://magfest.org/

I have a bunch more videos of live videogame covers from the same day up here:
