A 1UP review of Blast Works (based on Kenta Cho's Tumiki Fighters), out now on the Wii.

Comments

I had no idea Blast works looked that ugly. The original was so pretty. At least Kenta's going to get some money out of it.

Er, actually I don't think he's involved with the business end of this at all. As far as I know, his software license allows anyone to freely do what they wish with his code so long as a certain bit of text of the license is acknowledged somewhere. Or something.

I have an idea for 1up:

Make the entire video screenshots and captures from the game. Maybe have someone list the features in voice in the background.

Having more than half the video being two guys standing in an alleyway and having a meandering conversation about the game is only entertaining if the viewer thinks of this as a crack deal that degenerated into a geek-out session.

I was hoping to see a bit of Gunroar and Torus Trooper in this Blast Works review. Feeling a little disappointed by the end of the clip, but 1UP certainly did a much better job than G4TV.

This is segment from their 1UP Show. Its not intended to be an in depth review or video review as it were, its more of an informal talk about the game and some impressions.

The guy on the right says "like" over 25 times during this video.

Unfortunately I slipped into a coma before I could count how many times he finished a sentence with "and stuff"

g4 could really learn from actual reviews like shoot the core's youtube reviews. they're very informative.
