Zak McKracken: Between Time and Space
Zak McKracken: Between Time & Space is an unofficial sequel to Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders, and has been in development for more than seven years. The game boasts over fifty locations, 3D models, high-quality backgrounds and professional voice work - but the drawbacks are that it's in German, and the download size is close to 2 GB in total. "but the drawbacks are that it's in German"
Is there an English translation at least or is it 100% German (voice + subs)?

There is no English version yet (not even subtitles), but they plan to make one.
@timw: Zak! Not Zack! :)

@Das Jan
Thanks for the reply.
Now we need to see what comes first, the English translation or LucasArts' lawyers :/... I truly hope LA leaves them alone, the game looks amazing!

One could think we germans are the only ones developing point&click adventures, as at least nowadays so many are developed here, including some nice fan-sequels like this one :)
It surely looks very nice, although nostalgia can hardly be a factor for me, as I frankly never played the original.
A german team of fans is also working on Day of the Tentacle 2: http://www.dott2.de/
Also there is Broken Sword 2.5, again a german fan production, which will be released this august! They even got some of the german voice artists for their original roles, most importantly George Stobbard, of course :) No english voices, but at least there'll be subtitles:

I'm not sure about the "They're back" premise, but the game does look great!

@I truly hope LA leaves them alone
well... take a look at the booklet. Some creators of the original title supported Zak - BTaS.

@finefin
They may support it, but it's pretty much never the creators that go after fan-created spinoffs/sequels. It's always the publishers and, of course, their lawyers.

Anyone know how to get a hold of them to offer help? They aren't responding to emails.
