Galcon is a multiplayer strategy game where players will wage war with one another in an attempt to wrestle control over an entire planetary system. This is achieved by commanding entire fleets and propagating their influences to as many planets as they possibly can, before their adversaries do the same and overwhelm all other opposing forces.

A simple tutorial is included with the InstantAction version, but players can only access the practice level at the moment as the campaign mode isn't quite ready for the public yet. Multiplayer games will require the use of InstantAction tokens, while the installation of a plug-in is needed to get the InstantAction service up and running inside the browser of your choice. One of my coworkers was obsessed with this game. It really is brilliant in it's simplicity, I highly recommend it.

Hey TimW, what you think about my post about Galcon? I tried to be a bit creative with it, instead of just giving general info. Just hope nobody actually takes it seriously about Instant Action taking over the galaxy. XD

Galcon is some serious fun, and it's out for the iPhone now too. Its a solid app, and if you are looking for a good game for your iPhone, then Galcon is a safe bet.

It reminds me of Dyson a little bit. I find Dyson to be a little deeper and more satisfying, but Galcon is not without its merits.
