Ooh, that's pretty nice, that. Not really explorey at all yet, but lotsa' potential and nice enemies. Boss fight is nigh-on identical to the first one in The Underside, though.

This looks pretty nice so far, some nice pixel art and pixel blood. Gotta love pixel blood.

This shapes up to be a very nice and ambitious project. However, am I the only one who found the music extremely obtrusive and annoying?

I'm surprised Lapratan was featured at such an early stage! We were planning on gathering publicity with our second demo, but the exposure is greatly appreciated. On a side note, the character is not a researcher but a Mercenary. As for her motivations for being on Lapratan...

The aforementioned second demo will feature some under-the-hood overhauls and a more appropriate taste of the large, explorable world we hope to create.

Any feedback or suggestions will be met with warm cocoa and marshmallows.

downloaded and played the whole demo level.
(i just wanted to check out a few seconds to see what its all about but then the game was that good that i played it to the boss and finished him)
very good controls and fun gameplay...the retro graphicas are also a big plus in my opinion and the blood effects are also well done.
i think it will be a great game!

->Hey Evan "Jellyf15h" Balster
is there an approximate release date for the 2nd demo as well as for the full version?

sorry, there is no definite release date, though production should go a lot faster once I'm out of summer school. The projected release date is in about a year or two... The game will undergo major changes.

Found this old article again. For anyone who happens to stumble across this, we're overhauling the game in a different graphic style, with plans for extreme moddability.
