Calamity Annie is a new action game by dessgeega, developer of Mighty Jill Off and Invader. In it, players step into the boots of a gunslinger as she attempts to save the old west from a group of wanted criminals by engaging them in a showdown, one hombre at a time.

Your weapon has to be holstered before the start of each gunfight. Once that's done, there will be a few seconds of suspense before your adversary reveals himself and takes aim. Annie only has three chances to bring all twenty-five villains to their knees, indicated by the playing cards shown at the top of the screen.

I can't get it to load all the way.

Oh now it's working. Cool game, although it felt really easy. Maybe the holster area should be further away from the action? I really enjoyed the variety or different characters and settings you drew.

What did you do to fix it? I've never been able to get any of this creators games to work. Which is disappointng, because this and Mighty Jill Off seem great from all I hear.

I keep getting unexpected error messages. any ideas?

The Spanish Inquisition put the last nail in my coffin.

It was awesome that you could shoot the gun from the opponents hand and get a nice bonus.

If it wasn't for the awful loading time I'd play again until I beat the game :)

Works fine here! Cactus, I would play more of your games but only one out of ten actually run on my computer.

Quite enjoyed this one, definitely the best western indie game out there!

see, it makes me sad when I hear about how great some game is and then I can't run it. I've been wanting to play Mighty Jill Off for age, and then now this from the same maker. I wonder if it's my video card or something.

oh well, at least I can run all the Cactus games. With their terrible nightmare inspiring insanity.

it sucks that so many people can't seem to get it to run. all of her games are made in game maker. may be worth checking out their forums or the GM documentation for troubleshooting. and try running other game maker games and see if those work. seiklus would be a good place to start. or the la la land series.

Game maker games seem to be pretty hit or miss for me. Seiklus I've always been able to run, but I just got the exact same error as I did for Calamity Annie trying to open La La land 4

XP laptop machine. generally pretty well spec'd, although I occationally have issues from the ATI Radeon XPress graphics card, since it's basically a gamed card that makes itself look higher spec'd than it is in practical application
