Warning: Contains nudity and strong language.

Created by Persona, Kinuko and Paul Robertson of Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006 fame, Hikkikomori Quest RPG tells the tale of a recluse who embarks on a perilous journey of self-discovery, hoping to find some form of acceptance by the society that shuns him.

Use the C key to examine objects or select options, and press the X key to access your inventory. Your home doubles as an inn, while colas function the same way as conventional potions. Progress can be saved by checking your computer or accessing the computer terminals when exploring a dungeon. Press the left alt and enter key at the same time to switch between full screen and windowed mode.

The game should take about an hour or two to complete.

good,many thanks,
i download it,now

The game looks great (obviously), but suffers from scripting problems and typos.

So it's by the gent behind Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006...but it's not a Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006 game?

This makes me sad.

For some reason, many parts of this reminded me of the IF Blue Chairs, which probably doesn't make much sense.

Is there nothing to be said for a linux version? I mean, who uses Windows these days anyway?

not enough comments saying that this game is rad, well done well done.

Umm, does this work for vista? Because it crashes every time I try to start it. If so is there any special setting i should put it at?

This game has a couple of serious issues with it right now. I also found the cola bug - if you have enough cash for a cola, you can get infinite amounts from the vending machines. Makes life a lot easier.

I discovered this cola bug as well. I'm kind of glad actually. Don't think I would've had the willpower to beat this game if it wasn't for that. :P

Which is a shame, because it's pretty cool.

Is there an ending? After I beat that first (only?) dungeon it skipped ahead a year. When I entered the dungeon the 2nd time it freezes

Redownload it; it's fixed. The game should have 4 dungeons and a super boss.

Any game where the main character has a Yoko love pillow is win.

Too bad the gameplay sucks.

"Is there nothing to be said for a linux version? I mean, who uses Windows these days anyway?"

You mean besides the person who wrote the program?

Thx dudes :D!!

a bad rpgmaker game with decent art assets from paul robertson. also 4chan sucks.

i'm also a faggot

I'm sorry but the gameplay in this is terrible. Encounter rate is way too high, and save points are far too few. I do like the art though, and the story. It's just I can't see any more of it because I can't beat the Pepsi brothers as I have no potions and am nearly dead by the time I get to them.

The only way to get past the first area is to grind and to get decent gear and level up.

Anyone actually get the Pokeball yet? At the final boss and I havent beaten the inner ego yet, was wondering if a should grind for cash for the pokeball.

And yeah, the only way I got this far was to grind through the first dungeon for about an hour.

lmao I did not expect the troll king to be in this.

and yes the poke ball is worth the effort

The Pokeball doesn't seem to have much effect on the inner ego boss. I have no idea was to do for him. Anyone got a clue?

how do you go back home when you are in a dungeon? I can't make it through without healing ;~;

go to the entrance and hit enter

oh theres some weird bug. it keeps saying im missing a file when i try going in the secret dungeon

Shitty game, nice art.

doesn't work on vista....I kept getting an extract error

I want to love this game; but the encounter rate is disgusting, along with the lack of healing items.

hikikomori.
Not hikkikomori.
From the compound verb hikikomoru.

A mistake in a two-word title is a bit of a letdown, but hey, I really gotta try this. Thanks!

Nice game, but here's some annoying things at the beginning:
- Enemies HP is not shown
- Die too easily on the market
- You can't skip/speed up dialogues

Holy frick. I'm level 24 with all the best equipment, and I still can't beat the inner ego boss. The only way I can hit him is using the Otaku Burst, and that only does a little over 300 damage. WTF is that about? Interesting game overall, lame ending if you beat the cashier.

I'm level 32 with all the best equipment including a pokeball.
Still can't beat the inner ego dude. I made over 10000 HP damage. still no go...
Now it's very hard to level up cause the creatures barely provide the necessary experience for that.

According to my calculations, that dude is at least 8 more levels above me. meaning I'm going to need at least 48,000 experience points. (which in turn is about 4800 battles with the hot dog king, who gives the most XP)
Seems kinda hopeless and pointless...

Great game, I've downloaded yesterday and am playing it over and over again ^^
