Progress Quest is basically a dumbed down version of MMORPGs, and at the same time also considered by many to be a perfect example of a zero-player game which requires no user interaction at all once a character's starting statistics have been determined.

Six windows and their accompanying progress bars indicate the loot you've acquired, your current activity and completed quests. You can also mouse over a progress bar to reveal additional information. Players can choose to create an offline account, or take their adventures online to have their achievements saved on the ranking web page.

Genius! All the fun and rewards of an MMORPG with none of the tedium!

My Ur-Paladin Land-Squid SuperDude is leveling like crazy while I am continuing to constructive in the real world! What an amazing technological development!

Yeah, I've been "playing" the game on and off for years... The top tiers of scoreboards seem to be dominated by servers, though. ^^
Let them have some fun as well, I say. :-D

Isn't this a bit old?

ProgressQuest never gets old.
And don't forget the special 3d mode

The 3D version is too expensive for my blood, but I'm retro anyways. Jooncriev, my tongueblade land squid, just leveled his 'good move' ability, and 'rabbit punch' seems to be capped for my class, so I'm about to seek the deadly hymnal. Anyone interested in forming a party? I could use a robot monk dung elf or an enchanted motorcycle of any class to help with buffs.

This is old old old news

Not old for me, never heard of the game, it's so great my Half Orc Robot Monk Nikvap is level 10 now, it's really cool, one of the bets games ever.

"Dumbed Down?"

My Demicanadian Bastard Lunatic has reached obscenely high levels of power, all without requiring me sitting at the computer for hours on end, paying $10 a month for the privilege of performing virtual menial labor, or using socks as plumbing facilities.

Now take all those and the many more advantages of PQ and see which of the MMORPGs is truly "dumbed down?"

i dont beleive where we heading ............. i think the very programing of this game can be an eye opener.
