Reflexive Entertainment Inc. has been acquired by Amazon.com, according to an announcement made by the CEO of Reflexive Lars Brubaker in a recent press release. It was also stated that Reflexive's own distribution system is set to be expanded under the deal, and an entirely new market segment of potential customers will be reached using Amazon's distribution channel.

As noted by Andy, Reflexive is one of the more indie-friendly casual game portals out there, so the acquisition could mean a lot of possibilities opening up for indie game developers if handled right. (source)

Does this mean they're getting rid of reflexive's absurd DRM? There are a few games I passed up before that I might be tempted to buy if they do that.

what absurd drm? last time i tried on of reflexive's games, they had the same serial-based protection for all their games.

and did they put out anything good, except for wik?

as far as i remember, all they did was remakes of old school stuff and casual crap. some of the remakes were ok. the casual oriented ones were all shit.

Serial-Based WITH internet activation AND codes that expire.

I did say a "few" games, Wik being one of them.

I wonder if it is a good news .
as Lars Brubaker said,"We are unbelievably excited to continue working to enhance the online casual gaming experience",it maight be put more attention on zhe online games .

I hope you people realize that casual games are the best vehicle for the stigma that gaming beyond 12 years old is "weird nerd shit" disappearing
