QWOP's Olympic Adventure is a new ragdoll-based Flash game by Benzido, developer of Too Many Ninjas and Top Spinner. In it, you play an athlete named Qwop who is participating in a hundred metres sprint event at the Olympic Games. Using only the Q, W, O and P keys, players must attempt to finish the event or at least get as far as they can without falling over.

A help screen can be accessed by clicking on the question mark at the top left corner of the game window. You can also restart immediately by pressing the R key at any time. (source: Retro Remakes)

25.2 metres! Nice going!

this must be how infants feel when they first try to walk.

That must be one bad training regimen if they can't even teach you how to walk. Quite entertaining, though.

its obvious from this that man was never meant to walk

Ahaha this is so great. After about 20 minutes the best I've gotten is 5.8 meters.

This is completely, stupidly addictive.

100.2m! Getting to the end is easy enough when you figure out a way to, well, crawl, but maximising the score is a bit harder. I wish there was a way to practice the end without having to do it all again, but still, this is genius.

Yeah, you have to run properly if you want a good score above 100m.

Managed to qwop to http://img389.imageshack.us/my.php?image=qwopah1.png
with the crawling technique. Qwop qwop.

Yeah, I crawled my way about that far too.

6.5 meters!
i am eagerly awaiting qwop kung fu!

only got 100.7...by crawling

DAMN this infernal machine! I've made it once to about 20m by running, but then never again!

If it helps anyone else, I start with O to get a lean, then alternate Q+P, W+O.

It seems to work best if I press Q/W slightly before O/P - Q/W when the front foot begins the downstroke, and O/P when it contacts the ground. But I cannot for the life of me, rebalance the legs... One knee gets bent too far, the gammy foot shoots out behind, and I eat dirt.

I have 100.2 m

i made it pretty far by doing that dance that michigan J frog does.

I won brudda!!!!! sucks to you. what you do is you go down on one knee, with one leg sticking way out in front and randomly press qwop over and over again. Trust me, it works. my fingers hurt. I had to take breaks. I should have saved a video... 100.2 meters. Its actually pretty easy.

The point is to run though.

I get a decent start, you have to use the knees to push the body over centre of gravity then bring the thigh forward so the knee straightens just after it's passed the other thigh.

or something like that. The problem is the controls are not very intuitive I have found myself taking a few very impressive leaps forward, only to panic if I mis timed something and then throw myself in the air trying to correct it.

the best start is made by going forward with Q (wait for the body to settle so he dosn't drag the foot, the bringing the knee down so the foot properly hits the floor with P)

32 meters, RUNNING, BEAT THAT

I win when i do the crawl thing (around my family we fondly refer to it as "the knee dribble") however, I only get about 18 meters running.

i got up to 45m WITH ACTUAL RUNNING. i think i have a good rhythm down, ill try for 50m with actual running and then try the crawling technique.

make that 59.6m with actual running!

I finished the whole thing it was so easy
