Robo-Evolution is a short action game created by the developer of the Moai series, where players undertake the task of building a robot by rolling up items and spare parts scattered on the ground. The attributes of your robot are determined by the objects it acquires, with some items adding bulk and changing the appearance of the robot as well. Certain boxes can only be opened once you've upgraded your robot by some measure.

Both power and speed collectibles contribute to your jump height, which has to be of a certain preset value before the robot can leap over the wall. The evolution chart is shown at the bottom right of the screen at all times.

so weird... yet so awesome.

Strangely addictive.

Prawn-bot go!

It's cute in a weird kind of way.

I so love this game. I hate it when I see that a game is in Japanese because I think I'll never get it, but in a very short while I figured it out, explored every evolutionary path and was complaining that it was too short. Great, great game.
