The Lake is a short adventure game created by the developer of Where for TIGSource's Commonplace Book Competition, in which only two keys are ever used from start to end. Simply tap the left or right arrow key to turn, or press both buttons alternately to begin rowing in one direction.

The game itself takes about five minutes to complete.

Well, that was certainly...odd...

Interesting, I like the mood this created.

That said, removing the person swimming and the horse would help maintain the spooky lonely feeling of the game. They seem out of place and a bit distracting.

Well, if you think of it like a dream there would be that odd stuff. I thought it was a little neat...I wanted to figure out why that stuff was there.

semi-kinda-not really reminded me of Tubin'
someone should really do a remake of that game. more lvls, updated graphics,.. THATS IT. the gameplay kicked ass and wouldnt need to be touched.

like miquel said, this game has a cool atmosphere. it was like cape fear or something

I'm intrigued.
Anyone know how I can make this run on Vista with dx10? Starting the exe just gives me a pop-up that sends me back to microsoft.com to get the August 2008 release of dx9. I've tried running in compatibility modes, as administrator, all the usual tricks. No luck. Any ideas?
