Verge is a 2D platformer created by the developer of Bonesaw: The Game for TIGSource's Commonplace Book competition, featuring music contributed by Alec Holowka. In it, players assume control over an unnamed protagonist who has to traverse between two worlds in order to solve rudimentary block puzzles and reach the exit of each stage. This will require impaling himself with spikes Karoshi-style, using marked tiles on the ground to teleport, or jumping into deep ponds to appear on the other side. Enemies which absorb your soul can be shaken off by pressing the left and right arrow keys repeatedly.

There are nine levels to play in this competition build, and will take about ten to twenty minutes to complete. (forum thread)

with a better storyline, a inventory and more length this game could be legendary

I do plan on expanding upon the game, but this was as much as I could get done for the competition deadline... ;D

very nice, i hope you win, the enemies shoots lag a little on my pc, my other than that i think this game is perfect

Not a bad game for the most part, but the soul suckers got me around level 7 and there's no way I'm playing through those levels again.

awesome. if this was a full game it would be great

Beatiful game! I really wish I had come up with the idea... lol. Splendid execution, and FANTASTIC music! Any chance of releasing an MIDI or sheet music or anything?
