IGN had posted up four new gameplay videos from the upcoming WiiWare version of Cave Story on their site, although you will need an IGN Insider account to view three of those clips. Audio is WIP. (source: Kotaku)

Cave Story WiiWare Trailer

I wish they'd stop saying the sound is WIP whilst promoting this game. If anything it's pushing me away from the game.

@Anon:
...What do you mean? They're saying the sound is a Work In Progress because it's not done yet. If you're honestly upset about a game that's not out yet not being done... I honestly can't help you.

Protip: cease promotional media until they have something that is worth promoting. I don't see anyone else pulling this kind of low quality shizniz.

Gah - they're going to destroy cave story's credibility with this. I mean, It has absolutely terrible fonts, they presumably dragged every piece of graphics through an auto-trace program to make it look smooth, they made a sound engine that sounds like shit (why not just use streams?), and they changed Quote's appearance.
Okay, it might be just me, but what's wrong with Cave story? What's wrong with pixel graphics/art and low resolutions, nostalgically noisy music, and Quote's non-identifiable face?

They're going to destroy Cave Story's credibility with this?!
You would like the Wii Cave Story to look, sound and play the same as the PC version? Now, where's the fun in that? If everyone has a PC, why would anyone bother buying CS for Wii when they can have the same on the PC? And after all, they said you will have the option to switch to the old graphics/sound, if you fancy.

For the last time, people, IT IS NOT DONE YET. They're showing the build they have completed now because there are people who are genuinely interested in seeing how the game's moving along.
As for you people complaining about the new graphics and sound, they've already confirmed that you can switch between the new graphics and the old ones.
Stop whining.
