For this weekend only, the price of TaleWorlds' sandbox RPG on Steam has been reduced to $7.50 (from the original recession-unfriendly $29.99 tag). A demo for Mount & Blade can be downloaded off Steam if you have the client installed, else just grab the 380 MB file from TaleWorlds' official site.

Just purchased it. Great deal!

That's an insanely good deal. I bought it way back in beta .6 something and it's still worth it at twice the price.

Are indie games the discount fodder to serve as cheap marketing material for the big games on Steam?

Nope.

I bought it,but not from Steam.
This game rocks.
