Typomagia! is a typing game in which you quickly enter words on your keyboard to build up magic power, which can then be used to conjure creatures to battle enemies.

While not exactly unique, it's presented nicely and even has a Story Mode, as well as the option to choose the types of words so you can practice specific sets. It's also (dare I say it) quite tactical in the way that your built up magic can be used to create a variety of monsters and even power-up the monsters already conjured - you could see it as a kind of typing/tower defense style mashup.

Grab Typomagia! from the Sol Games site.

Conger creatures?

Or conjure? :)

Well, that was nice. The idea of elaborating on the typical typing games is really nice, but it also gets old too quickly in this game. I went well with just casting all the buffs first and then the strongest monster. The "duels" seemed to add some strategy, but didn't really change much.

Still, the wacky story mode was entertaining and really asked for some kind of very badly overdone voice acting :D And the spells also had a neat feel to them: Faster, stronger, tougher - Imp!

I've only played until level 13, so I hope I didn't miss out on much.

Alright alright, so I can't spell, leave it out :D

nice game...
yeah misterx, the vocals:
stronger, faster,tougher, imp! ...glorious! :D

are there any more worthwhile typing games beside this and the very good typogun?

Just finished the story mode.
It was pretty fun. I've always liked typing games since Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing 5.

Well, there's Typing of the Dead, which looks very fun and apparently has great humour, too. I hope that is going to be free some time.

I guess apart from that I also really only recall Typogun, and I found that it really lacked in difficulty. Or the difficulty ramped up too slowly. Or both, I don't really remember.

yeah, sega did a good job there. :)

anyways..it seems that good typing games are pretty rare...

Fun little typing game... My only little hick up is I wish instead of pressing the return key everytime the spacebar is used.
