Now this looks interesting - Raycatcher from Thinking Studios takes your mp3s, turns them into rays and fires them at a ball - you must then in turn spin the ball to allow the correct colour rays to hit the ball in the correct spots.

If Audiosurf proved anything last year, it's that gamers love to incorporate their music into a slick-looking arcade game and it seems Raycatcher hopes to capitalize on that. A demo is available for now, with a full version coming very soon.

Very interesting concept. Although some of the rays don't fully collide on beat, it still looks like a pretty fun game.

I played it for a little while. I was dissapointed that you didn't have at least the limited ability to import any of your own MP3s.

What a wonderfully simple concept. One of those "why didn't I think of that/didn't I think of that and not do anything about it?" ideas. Well done Thinking Studios!

Lacks the visual flair of Audiosurf that makes it a pleasure to play and watch.

I think there is too little going on in the screen to capture the atention of the player for a long time, maybe a backscreen with something or a mode of the game with bigger balls and lot more rays.

this reminds me of my fave activity which is impregnating womens.

It crashes for me.

Gameplay looks sort of like a 2d version of Newtonica.

lawl

i don't really see how this plays in TIME with the music though...like, audiosurf was cool because the track would pulse in time with the music, but this just doesn't seem to be doing anything in regard to the music.

yeah.... demo limited to the hardcoded tune?

useless.. I want to play with my music

Not bad, but I wish someone would make a decent "With your own Music" game, that isn't a puzzler.
Never enjoyed Audiosurf's puzzle modes. Too busy enjoying the music!!

Sounds a bit like Newtonica for the iPhone...
