Zeno Clash, ACE Team's upcoming Source-powered action/fighting game has beaten off the competition to be crowned ModDB's Best Upcoming Indie game for 2008.

Up against the likes of Overgrowth and Infinity, the award should help boost Zeno Clash into the limelight and give it the attention it deserves.

Good, it deserves it.

omg sponsord by us airforce is that the way "indiegaming" i going ???

scary

that's just moddb in bed with the airforce..

but i've gotta say dropping bombs on people doesn't seem as bad as being on foot and shooting behind cover...

ya know..

So on the one hand, we are trying hard to convince people that games are not about violence and not about making kids kill their school mates, and on the other the military is enlisted to support exactly that: to invite gamers to come and kill other people. If I were Zeno Clash, I'd take the award and throw it in their face. It's one thing if the military abuses games to lure kids in, it's another of the games culture itself condones this activity and even becomes dependent on it (as is the case here). Booo!
