You know how sometimes you just want to put down the clever puzzle game and grab a dose of mindless shooting fun? Death vs. Monstars could fill that void. It's a Geometry Wars style blaster containing such silly gimmicks as 'Berserk Mode' and 'Bullet Time' and it's great fun.

Enemies spawn all over the screen and it's your job to destroy them and grab the plunder. Money can then be used to upgrade your little floating skull, making the killing easier. Of course, with each level the difficulty gets ramped up, so making use of the provided Berserk Mode (crazy firing all over the screen to wipe out all enemies present) and Bullet Time (take a wild guess) is essential.

It's even got a Boss battle to deal with at the end which is pretty challenging. So if you're looking for a nice, brain-dead way to pass the time, help Death beat those crazy Monstars over at Game Reclaim.

very funny game - but too easy :(

I cant figure out how to use my specials... and i'm halfway through the game (so far, i dont find it too difficult)

David: Double click for your special attack when the rage meter is full, and hold the space bar for slow motion. :)

This game was super entertaining. Kept me playing all the way through. The final boss from YHTBTR certainly wasn't as wimpy this time, but he wasn't all that hard either. Still quite fun though!

Looks and sounds great, with an impressive amount of stuff on screen. On the easy side, unfortunately.

I was wondering if this was gonna pop in here, im glad it did.

Through extensive searching, and accidentally clicking "New Game" instead of continue, I found out that the directions were at the very beginning of every round/level. Thanks anyway KniteBlargh :)

Orange County was the first very hard level and I feel the controls are definetally right for these kind of games. I didn't really notice the jokes of you being death and the final boss (which somehow completely went over my head).

I wish the final boss was a bit tougher, though... switching back to the first weapon is a very difficult challenge that I haven't yet been able to beat. Going away from the game for a couple hours and coming back has made me rusty :)
