Dad Would Be Proud is a short one-screen platformer consisting of only a handful of levels, centered around a gimmick that would be used repeatedly by the player so that they could reach the exit located on the other side of each room. Objects and traps are introduced at a steady pace as to not overwhelm the player with too many confusing elements, but your dependency on the time manipulation ability will make it seemingly difficult to complete a stage without this particular trait.

It's a nice game, but I don't get the point of the slowdown gimmick. You just end up holding X the entire time.

Awesome name! Everything else is a little meh. Hit detection on those spikes is WAY bigger than it looks like it should be.

Yeah...you end up having to hold down X for every level, and the last level goes "gotcha!".

The ending was highly unsatisfying :/

You're right, Quetz. It's very frustrating, even in slow motion.

Whats the point of a X button if you have to hold it all the time, might as well make it the standard speed. if there was a time limit to hold it or some "blue areas" that the X didn't work it should be ok to have it.
Or maybe some moving itens that should not be affected by speed.
Anyway, in general the game wasn't very good

@Anonymous: I added the slow down gimmick in the game because my friends thought the game was too hard. The levels were never really centered around this mechanic, it is simply just a coincidence.

@David: So you added the slowdown gimmick because the default speed was too fast... Why not just change the default speed instead of having one hold down x the entire time?

If he did that, then the last level wouldn't make much sense, would it?

Well, If it makes you guys feel any better, I've been working on an update to the game, with a limit to the slo-mo, as well as some more stages. Thank you for your input on the game, and I hope you'll like the update when it comes out.

It wasn't a BAD game, its just it was really hard, even with the slow-mo.

Also, I prefer scrolling platformers. The music was cool when it slowed down. And there was a geoffrey the fly thing going there when you died, which I kinda liked.
