Cargo Bridge is (would you believe) all about bridge-building. Construct a bridge which your small workers can carry boxes, safes and elephants across.

It's all physics-based of course, physics being the 'in thing' at the moment. There's also a limit to how many parts you can use to build your structure. The construction phase itself reminded me a lot of a certain gooey alternative - in a good way. Strangely there is no music, but the generic man-scream when your little guys fall fits satisfyingly. Maybe music will be added in a future build (oh snap!).

It isn't so bad, but frankly the original free Bridge Builder, which this game obviously copies, is still better, and I didn't see anything unique in Cargo Bridge to justify itself. Maybe there is something in the not-so-early levels, but then there needs to be something to keep my attention until I reach those.

Basically the only thing I really disliked about this is that it's anoying not to know how long one part has to be so I can connect it with the next one. This is not an issue in Bridge Builder due to a clear grid-based building mechanic, and I suppose that would also have to be copied for Cargo Bridge to be enjoyable.

I really can not stand this game. I hate when a bridge can take an elephant, a box, and two men at once but then when the third guy comes around with a box, the whole thing falls apart. Why? I have no idea. There's no stress points or any indicators for that matter. I also don't like building four bridges and waiting through 60 seconds of the test just to learn that my fourth bridge isn't strong enough.

All I'm reminded of when I play this is the Bridge Builder series which has so many more features..

Agree with the other commenters, the test really tells you nothing.. However, it is pretty sweet for a Flash game and unique in that the dudes have to walk back across.

I'm pretty sure in the very first Bridge Builder the train also went back and forth. I may be wrong and this was only introduced in one of the sequels, but it certainly isn't new :)

Did they not realize that this game has already been made about five times? Bridge Builder, Armadillo Run, and Elefunk all do it better than this does, and so this just appears rudely unoriginal. Bridge-building games don't have enough variety to become a whole freaking genre, here.

I'm surprised at the general dislike expressed here against Cargo Bridge. I really quite enjoyed it. While it lacks a lot of features you'll find in similar games, it works quite well and has a number of challenging levels. I found it quite thrilling on a few occasions to cut corners as much as possible, producing a cheap, barely stable bridge, only to have it collapse at the last second after the crew barely made it across. The game rewards you for building cheap bridges in an extended mode not unlike World of Goo's freebuild -- where preserved funds can be used to build challenge bridges.

Simple, sure. But for a quick online game, Cargo Bridge delivers marvelously -- when I came across it, I plugged at it across a few separate nights until I finished.

And really, their generic little screams sometimes makes you want to be less than safety conscious. It's great.

Unoriginality aside, this makes a lot of really dumb interface decisions. Deleting things is a pain, and slow. Also, if you beat a level, decide to try and improve your score, and then decide against it, you have to resolve the level entirely, there's no way to skip a beaten level.

I really love how the bride is designed in a "paper sketch" way.
