There's no way that you can pass a game by that has the title 'Being Struck By Lightning is Probably the Best Way That You Could Die On Account of All of It's Awesomeness' and not try it out (although being a grammar fiend, the incorrect apostrophe made me let out a sort of 'gah' noise).

The game was created for Gamejolt's 'Shocking' Game contest. Gameplay-wise, the game extends about as far at its name in terms of sheer agonising design. Initially simple, the combination of tight jumping and evil level design make this the most keyboard-bashing experience I've had in a while. It's worth holding out and playing on when you feel like you can't take anymore, just to see how utterly harsh it really gets.

I really like the graphical style and the crazy music seems out of place and yet just right at the same time. Not sure how that works though. Just try it out yourself and see if you can understand my drivel.

"make this the make keyboard-bashing experience I've had in a while."

Bit of a word error there.

I don't think I can bring myself to play this owing to the apostrophe error.

But it IS awesomeness! haha

The game is frustratingly difficult. Not suggested for people with anger management problems....

I was the first to beat this game when Loki released it! Am I ever going to stop bragging about that? xD
Great game, I just couldn't close it until I had gotten to the end (but yes, I noticed the incorrect apostrophe as well LOL).

Took the apostrophe out. I apologize, grammar has never been my strong point. :P

The apostrophe WAS the game! Now it's gone. I don't think I can bring myself to play this owning to the apostrophe being gone.

How many levels are there? I'm currently stuck on the 'Take your time' You'll only be impaled if you wait' level (and not getting very far).

Same level that I got to before I decided to quit. It seemed like you had to land pixel-perfect to pull off each jump, and you have to do five or six of them in a row... while under time pressure. The levels before that were good, but that one was simply just frustrating.

There are 15 levels, the one your stuck on is second to last.

game doesnt work for me, some strange directX thing. oh well.

Just finished it. That last level took me over an hour, I thought I was going to go blind. Time to get back to the job hunt I think.

That's a cool little game. Nothing so special, yet still has a unique feel and awsome game name.

@Alex: Thanks, I'd just got out of bed so my eyes were still shut. There was actually another error too which I've fixed now :)

@Andrew: Over an hour? Oh man, I'm surprised you AREN'T blind!

Yeah I get a 'Fail to load plugin' error, which is for some reason expecting there to be a plugin in my temps directory...

Yeah, the game was made in Construct so you need DirectX installed to play. If you don't have the right version you'll probably get an error.

Is this supposed to happen?

Hahah, no... There are some glitches that happen with slowdowns due to the sprites being so small. I'm guessing you fell through the platform and landed there?

What is the right directX version needed then?

i liked the feel of the movement (but gave up on the first 'gun' level after many many deaths).

I think you need August 2008 DirectX or newer.

I have a newer version but it still comes up with "Runtime error failed to load plugin c;\users\\appdata\local\temp\cap4144.tmp\7.csx (126)"
I have no ided what that means

hardcore, love it but I suck at it bad. I cant get past the "this room has its own atmosphere" level.
