G-e-n-e-r-i-c is another experimental project with a novel gameplay element, created by the developer of Flickerstrings and Jump on Mushrooms: The Game. The objective here is to collect gems, coins and money bags so that you'd have enough points to proceed to the next level. Enemies can be stomped on to gain extra jump height, keys can be collected to unlock doors, and you can bash special blocks with your head for a special surprise.

This game was great for that first "Holy shit!" moment :P Short but sweet...good luck if you're trying to get all of the coins...

Haha, that was great. A good way of messing with perceptions!

Good concept, it's weird that he uses the SAME sample sound of grabbing the coins from SMB. And the gun, why does it delete the HUD? if that's fixed i think we could have a great game!

Don't, like myself, get put off by the, well, generic-looking screenshot, you who are hestiating to download this game. This is great!

I expected "it" to be gimmicky when I found out about it, but it's actually very clever. It also showcases the one and only way collecting stuff can be made very compelling in my opinion: When it actually adds interesting challenge to the game. In so many games you just collect stuff and increase your score by walking through the levels. I couldn't care less for these scores. But in this game it is really fun to try and get all the coins, as the challenge of getting these is obviously thoughtfully crafted.

Very cool!

I love that dude's goofy smile. Fun game.

Fun game, original concept, I likey.
