Takishawa is Dead is a difficult 3D platformer created by Andrew Brophy, where players are sent on a quest to find the aforementioned individual who is hiding in a world filled with dangerous pitfalls and traps.

The game is a rather short one, and players aren't really expected to use more than five or six different save points throughout their adventure. This updated version has tighter camera controls and an additional save point. (blog entry)

The visuals are very cactus like.

When will game designers realize that unavoidable deaths aren't fun? I mean, IWBTG was understandable, but if this is some kinda art game, then the frequent frustration is really detracting from the experience.

So many developers think that stuff like this means constant re-playability... It's just annoying... I'm gonna give it one more try...

I got stuck talking to a gorilla and it wouldn't let me move away from them again. Screw this. What could've been a good game, given more time and bugchecking.

Why oh why do people in the GM community continue to create games that change the resolution and/or not provide a windowed option, when it's as easy as checking a checkbox? Also, is there any specific reason to delete the save file when you exit the game?
Also, I've found a bug. When you rotate the camera and die in the middle of the rotation, after you respawn the camera will be at a weird angle, making the game pretty much unplayable.

I like this game. I haven't played it much, but I feel it appeals both to my hardcore arcade gamer side, as well as my artsy game side.

My only qualm with it is that I wish I could use my gamepad or 360 controller with it.

I really, really like the atmosphere of this game, but the bug where the camera freezes if you die - as well as the, well, kind of brutal difficulty - make it so that I just can't play it. I want to, but I can't.
