Hm, I think you screwed up the tags there somewhere, Michael. It tells me to "get the flash player", but I already have that (as evidenced by the animated flash ad right next to the post)

It's by Nifflas, not Nicalis

Well technically speaking the indie development team behind this title is called Nicalis, so I thought I'd put the team name instead :)

Is this video player supposed to pop-up here? Because it isn't, though I can watch it on the linked site....

@esquar: There is indeed a video and it does work. Most likely you don't have the latest Flash installed or your browser doesn't support this type of video (I'm using Firefox, and I see it fine).
I will add a note to the post about it, though.

that looks kinda boring to be honest. what was great about his earlier games was the full control you had over the character, this looks to replace it with Gish or LocoRoco like ball physics. Neither of which are as acute as Knytt.
this isn't a game I would play on my TV, or even pay for. It just looks like freeware.

Seth: The post is correct. Night Game is by by Nicalis (the company), which is comprised of Nicklas Nygren (Nifflas), and Tyrone Rodriguez. Ara Shirinian also worked on Night Game.

Hahaha, I saw a trailer for that a while back and thought, "Cool! Reminds me a lot of Knytt et al"... had no idea he was involved with it. Awesome.

Woah, that new trailer certainly does look fantastic. It'll a be a great new WiiWare game and easily one of the greatest so far.
Can't wait. :D

Ah right, it pops up for me in Firefox, just not in Safari.

Whoo. When I first saw this post, I thought to myself: "Hmm, what the heck is Night Game? Never heard of it before - doesn't sound cool, I'm not gonna check it out."
Then I played Knytt Stories (again) and searched for the soundtrack from Google. I wandered to Nifflas's Wiki-article and saw that he's making Night Game! Then I came here, watched the trailer and was pleasantly surprised that the trailer had the same surreal feeling that Knytt Stories had. Love it, probably gonna buy this, too.

The soundtrack to knytt stories is in the folder you extracted the game to :p

Wow, snarky comments on the internet. Never seen one of those before.
And yes, this game does superficially resemble another game. Actually several games. Actually, many games. But it's not Feist. I didn't notice any jumping or enemies, and the pace seemed completely different. Also Nifflas is a master of atmosphere.
This game hearkens back to Within a Deep Forest (pre-Knytt), when you DIDN'T have complete control over your character. Rather you had to work with the way you bounced, and it was quite difficult at times. This game looks to be a compromise between the atmosphere of Knytt, and the movement specific navigation of environments of WADF.

Wha-- :D Haha. Well, anyways, I downloaded it. Stupid me.
By the way, Knytt Stories may be the best platformer ever. Seriously.
