When Pigs Fly tells the story of a pig who conveniently grows wings after falling down a hole and finding itself trapped inside a dark cave. Unfortunately the pair of wings are preventing a quick escape from the same entry point, so the only thing left to do is to explore the caverns and seek another way out.

Progress is automatically saved whenever the player arrives at a new screen, so you can always close a browser window and still continue the game from where you left off at a later time.

The music and sounds are so effing annoying. I think I'm gonna kill myself now. Thank you dessgeega.

Eh... An interesting platformer, there really wasn't any charm or intuitive new gameplay elements to make it anything good.

It really wasn't even that fun... I could let it go if was at least fun... but it just sorta fell flat.

pretty with good music but frustrating as fuck

stupid pig with your stupid giant collision box why i oughta

I decided it was better for my monitor to stop playing. Because I'd probably have thrown my kb through it. So in a way this game is the opposite of a screen saver.

I got the best time ^_^

I liked it a lot. It was fun, and the piggy had charm. The intro with the fake-out "hold space to jump" text was cute, and I thought the semi-invulnerable character was a clever idea I haven't seen before.

It was frustrating, but the fun kind of frustrating. Just before it got hard enough to be irritating, it finished! And it provides time attack and other modes (backwards mode!) for replayability. Cool stuff.

Cripes, that's a masterclass in level design right there.

Too tired to say anything too analytical but the sense of absolute relief when you clear the screen is glorious.

Really well done, smart and informed stuff.

i like it.

I am willing to forgive a flash game many things, but when it tries to kill my ears during the opening cutscene, then continues well into the game, I have a very hard time with that.

I thought the music was fine. However I really hated the squeals from the pig. It was like an extra punishment from dying and landing. I know she wanted to make it "cute", but it was just so damn annoying.

Do people not realize that you can turn the squealing off? It says it right on the Newgrounds page!

This game is ridiculously frustrating...and not even in a fun way. I actually enjoyed IWBTG, but honestly this is pretty bad.

The only enjoyment I received from this game was the realization that I'm never going to touch it again. My comments were a little harsh....the graphics were cute!

I agree for the bad audio, but the game was simple and catchy.

Fun. Too many deaths in the same place may be annoying, but luckily that only happend once to me.
The pig's death-cry was forgettable.

Egad. The controls were terrible. I understand this is a maso-game, but it felt like controlling an oversized cart full of bricks. On top of that, it frequently crapped out on me, causing the pig to fly backwards when no arrow was pushed only to go vertical only when the opposite arrow was held. At least the sprites were amusing.

This game builds character.

Time:8.06
Deaths:45
Fun game.

This game was awesome, but now my fingers hurt.
And Anthony, IWTBTG purposely tricks you, while this game just requires good old fashioned skills.

Really funny game, 10.25 with 96 accidents.

I thought it was excellent, full of charm, great controls and I even liked the music (and the squeals didn't get to me, for some reason)

Phooh. 9.25 (or something like that, between 9-10 still) with, err, 82 accidents. Some parts were just damn annoying but I was very relieved when the game was over and I flew to freedom...

Nothing very special, a solid, hard game. The musics didn't really annoy me and it seems that I didn't have the squeals on or something. Not gonna play that again, though, I'm not really a speedrun-kind of guy. O,o

I enjoyed the gameplay (beat it with a horrifying death count), and the level design was good in the sense that it didn't feel repetitive in how you had to pass through each screen... But there were not that many obstacles, and it felt basic almost to an extreme.

The music sounded to me like the opening tune to an early nineties children's show (not in a very good way), and the squeals were annoying.

The gameplay modes were a really nice touch as well.

Loki, I don't think it's necessarily that this game required skill, I just died a lot when I thought I shouldn't have because the bounding boxes were huge. I actually didn't do too horrible when I beat it, and at least the extra modes when you beat it are creative. IWBTG was entertaining because the deaths were creative and actually funny sometimes, but this was just a little bland in my opinion.

Very rewarding when you finally beat it, and some interesting unlockables that make me want to give it another shot. (Though I should probably take the hint when it took me three attempts just to get onto the One Try ledge, heh.)

Not on par with Mighty Jill Off, especially as to the character, setting, story, etc., but still fun. And I thought the music and sound were fine.

11.27 144 accidents

Despite this result I think this game is quite easy. (didn't meet expectations after reading comments comparing it to IWBTG).

I wish it had a 3 life meter or something, one hit kill from just touching the wall doesn't work for me, andi hated that scream "wuooeee".

But the game was kind of fun and i liked the graphics.

Definitely influenced by Metroid. Look at some of the tile-work. Also, the Newground's submitter's handle is "dessgeega".
