To commemorate the launch of The Penumbra Collection for Mac and Linux, Frictional Games has decided to put the entire package on sale for a mere $5 (regular price $20) this weekend only. The offer will last for three days, starting from the 17th of July (Friday) and ends on Sunday, the 19th of July. You can purchase it at the sale price direct from Frictional Games or any of the other three participating stores.

The Penumbra Collection contains the original Penumbra: Overture, Penumbra: Black Plague and the expansion, Penumbra Requiem. Download links for demos are available from the official site for the Penumbra series.

[UPDATE: The Penumbra Collection for Windows will be on sale this weekend for only $5 on GamersGate as well. Thanks, Joshua!]

Re-release of the Penumbra Series for Mac and Linux (USD 5 launch offer)

Linux only? You mean I'd have to own any computer to play it? Awww, man.

Friday is the 17th, Sunday the 19th.

:)

Thanks for the correction, as usual. :)

awwww...no love for the Windows?

Oh well Macs n Linux OSed computers need some love too from time to time.

According to their blog, the Windows users had this offer recently.

Guess I'll be booting my Linux more often, starting this friday ;)

I think the developers had no idea that The Penumbra Collection was on sale for only $5 on Steam as well, that's why there was very little mention about it anywhere.

Valve also tends to abruptly end a promotion on Steam. I don't really feel like mentioning any of their offers anymore, after writing an article about the 50% discount on Chains just to have it expire the moment the post goes live.

The recent offer for Windows users to get Penumbra for 5 USD was indeed the Steam weekend promotion.

Like to update that Gamer's Gate has decided to sell the Collection for Windows at the 5 USD weekend offer as well.

So if there are any Windows users wanting to get the game but missed the Steam weekend now's your chance!

ATTENTION Windows users! I wrote on the forum about the game, and the game will be on sale for Windows users. Go to: http://www.gamersgate.com
and you can get it for $5!
