boxgame.JPG

Boxgame is a puzzle platformer in which gravity is ruled by big, transparent boxes in the centre of each level. Jumping off a ledge will result in some crazy re-orientation, after which you most likely won't be standing on the same plane anymore.

Which, of course, leads to lots of lovely puzzles. Sophie has clearly put a ton of thought into some of the solutions (especially towards the end) and, while it never gets incredibly taxing, you'll definitely need to use your brain! She also promises new levels soon to add to the fourteen already there, so it will worth going back to again once she adds the new content.

Play it on her site.

Please note that the game requires the Unity Web player. (3 MB download, doesn't require a browser restart)

Very good.

Really good game, completed all 14 levels.

Some more info about the game:
The face of the translucent cube adjacent to you creates a downward force, perpendicular to your walk axis. Since momentum is maintained when switching from one face to the other, you can run, jump, and fall to proceed within the level and even choose the direction of your fall.

Also, for players looking for a challenge, each level has a teddy bear up for grabs. Search for it after you open the exit.

Got all the levels and teddys. The last level is completely brilliant :)

Got all 14 teddys, where is my prize? :).
Awesome game. I would pay for a commercial version.
Just fix the "free-camera mode", it was difficult to use.

Goddamn this Unity shovelware bullshit.

Excellent game. My only complaint is that a majority of the time, getting the teddy bear just means backtracking to where you started; there were only a few instances where you had to think cleverly about how to get it. Occasionally it was fine, since getting back to where you started can be just as hard of a task as finding the exit, if not harder, but otherwise it was just extra work without the feeling of accomplishment.

Still a great game though. No prize for getting the bear in every level?

Very cool game. I found strange that you could change the direction by just moving the mouse, i would prefer to rotate the square by just moving the character and not the camera, it seems like cheating to me.

I would love to see more levels!, nice concept.

Tried it, that Unity plugin crashed on me twice on the second level...

Bye.
