Freeware Game Pick: A Cold Heart (Joep Aben)
A Cold Heart is a short underwater-themed shooter where you play a cold-hearted mermaid, out to take the lives of ten different sea creatures by singing for them with your beautiful voice. You start out with three hearts that represent your well-being, although you there are ample chances to replenish them after every boss fight.
The ending is very anti-climatic, so don't expect too much out of the game if you don't want to end up being extremely disappointed by it.

I like the concept, although the game feels slightly lacking in fun factor. It has a pretty decent amount of content though!

It could use a strafe button. Other than that, it's ok.

It's better than most commercial games I've played.

I cannot believe there are only 3 comments here.
The game was brillant.
It was challenging without being annoying. There was action but with a relaxing climax.
I agree with Pico. I played Prototype today, and after its uncreative, boring and souless gameplay. A Cold Heart was an elixir.

A checkpoint or continue system would have been nice. Instead, I keep having to fight the same bosses over and over once I die.

I'm really sorry about the ending and the lack of feedback in the game. I had a deadline to make for a competition so it got a bit rushed.
I promise you all a new version ;)

decent for the time-length, it definitly could be better with some continues though, but overall I dug it. The graphics were especially nice.
