Direct2Drive $5 Indie Sale
Direct2Drive have been running a bunch of offers recently to celebrate their 5th birthday, with a specific genre of games being sold off at $5 each week. This week is the Indie sale! Hurrah!
The following games are all $5.00/£5.00 (boo at 1-to-1 conversion rate!) for one week only and can be purchased through this link:
Mount and Blade
World of Goo
Defense Grid: The Awakening
Sword of the Stars
Cogs
Light of Altair
The Path
Bridge Construction Set
Gish
Zatikon
We've got reviews of Cogs and The Path if you're wondering whether to grab either of them.

I'm reading that the Defense Grid key will load up just fine in Steam, too, if you're into that sort of thing. You should be.

I won't buy any of these games because The Path is included in the sale.

It must be horrible to be so poor that you have to invent unpleasant reasons not to buy things even when they're reduced to the point of being practically free.

Oh jeez, is there still a knee-jerk crowd against The Path? What a joke.
I would warn, though, that The Path has really high system requirements for an indie game. Don't buy it for your laptop, is what I'm saying here.

This would be awesome if the site wasn't down for maintenance.
I've been waiting to get some of these, so hopefully they'll fix their problems soon.

The £5 price is a TRAP!
If the title is available in the UK sale then UK folks like myself can simply log into the American website and buy them for $5 + tax instead. It works out about £3.70.

Ah, I wondered if that was possible...

@Alex May
You may want to look at the rest of the discounted games. Practically all are country restricted, except for the indies. What good are cheap prices if you are not allowed to pay them?
Direct2Drive is useless due to its many country restrictions.

@Sumguy
The same could be said about Steam though, and there it's even worse because you can't even cheat your way trough the system with some games like with D2D :P
But I might pick Defense Grid just to activate it on Steam, that would come in handy, also I'm enjoying some Titan Quest I recently bought of D2D for 5,6 Euro a week ago ;D
