In Deflectorpool you control a paddle used to bounce balls coming from the top of the screen. Scoring is done by collecting balls of the same color with the round attachment connected to the bat. You can switch colors by holding down the left mouse button and touching any ball of a different color to convert.

The more balls you string up before changing colors, the more points you gain from a higher combo count. Some water will be drained whenever you complete a combo, which is something players have to be good at if they want to prevent the green liquid from overflowing and ending the game.

Comments

Dunno why there is a complete lack of comments, this is a fun puzzle game, but I found it somewhat difficult and random.

Lots of action interpsersed with too little action.

I got to Pink, but started failing at that point.

But overall still fun and worth a try

Ntero: Yes, it seems the game is a little bit too inaccessible for new players who aren't familiar with all the quirks and mechanics.
If you spend some time to figure out how to control bonus balls and extend combos it will probably get less random and more rewarding. Still difficult though, sorry ;)

(tip: hold button to touch all available colors until the ball indicators on the left side all disappear, at that point you'll get a bonus ball and you will not break your combo unless you actually collect a non-combo-colored ball)

Pretty fun and challenging game, with some nice retro vibes. Seriously, if it wasn't for some of the slightly fancier flash elements, I feel like I'm playing something made years ago.

nice game!
DrPetter also made SFXR, right?

He did!

Heh - I like this game so much I downloaded the .SWF and made an .EXE of it for my offline laptop :)

Good work DrP!

That seems like a very unique arcade/puzzle game. Kudos for the effort!! Looks awesome!
