Nezumi man (Rat man) is a 2D platformer created in the same style as early Megaman games, where you are in control of a rodent who has to defeat the evil Dr. Gyoniku and his henchmen. Ratman can jump, shoot, slide, and earn special abilities by beating the boss characters in each of the eight levels included.

A hidden bonus chapter can also be unlocked once you've completed the entire game, although it doesn't really take more than two hours to achieve that feat if you're already accustomed to playing difficult platformers by now. The save feature will come in handy if you need a short break or two between sessions as well. You can resize the application window by using the configuration file included in the game folder. Direct download link here or here. (Windows, 18.1MB)

what a nice find!
a really charming tribute to mega man!
fine graphics, controls and level design.

moreover:
i also found on the site somekind of a mario kart game...but there isn't a playable version available yet.

Poor fridge. You guys have no heart.

very nice, but way too hard for me, I always sucked at the megaman games as well!

Wow, this game is a total rip-off of early Megaman titles, not just a tribute. Even some of the stage designs are the same.

Even so, it looks charming, so I'll most likely give the game a try, all issues aside.

Site is down. Anyone have an alternate link?

Looks OK. I've never really been a fan of Megaman games, and this looks VERY similar.

Also, the graphics could use some work here and there.

Link works again. Game is actually pretty good. Total parody of Megaman, but it plays well. Beat it in 59:19.

i'm pretty sure nezumi means rat, not fish.

A fun tribute/parody... and without the searing pain of Mega Man 9's difficulty level.

Yeah, I made it! Take that you .. eh .. you blue pill!
Is the special game also ripped off another classic game? I cant recognize it...

Bleagle: It sure is. Ghouls 'N Ghosts, Ghosts 'N Goblins... whatever it's called.

The obligatory "map of the evil doctor's fortress" was a humorous surprise.
