In Mountain Maniac you control a man with a hammer whose single aim is to destroy the town at the foot of a mountain for points. He does this by smashing boulders with his instrument of doom, sending them down the mountain Pachinko-style while crushing everything that stands in its way. Occasionally the police force or a yeti might try and stop him, but you can use the mallet to protect yourself by swinging it at them as well.

There is a certain percentage of town destruction that you must achieve to pass each level, and failure to do so equates to a loss of a precious life. An online high score submission feature is included as well, although players must first register for an Adult Swim account before they can post their best achievements up on the site.

I loved the retro graphics, but the core gameplay is too much based on luck for my taste. It was fun to play for a while though just to experience the nice graphics and the yeti/ranger/police battles.

pretty cool, who'd have thought a pinball could still be fun?

The only thing that bugs me about this game is when 2 platforms are close enough to trap your boulder. Not fun getting it stuck 3 times in a row.
Other than that, great game! I'm a little addicted atm.

must... stop... playing...

I had it worse, I kept getting stuck on single flat platforms. I enjoyed it though when I wasn't stuck!

As with all PixelJam games, this offering is jam-packed with subtle challenges and great graphics and sound.

Not quite as awesome as DinoRun (which may even weigh in somewhere in my top 25 games of all time, let alone free browser games, it has an eternally looping arcade charm and it is really satisfying when you are able to obliterate large swathes in one well-timed horizontal roll.

Like Dinorun was fun because it was multiplayer, this would be amazing if other players could incarnate those wall climbers, while a player has to drop boulders on them.

In case you haven't read the tutorial. You can control the boulders too. The more rage you build up (by holding down x) the more controling power you have over the boulders.

This game is surprisingly addictive, I had to stop myself after 10 minutes to get back to work, but will be playing it more very SOON.

Wait a sec...You can control the boulders? Alright, now I'll definitely have to give this one a second try.

OK, so I finally played the game how it was intended and I can safely say that this game ROCKS.
So uhm...you can forget the comment I made earlier about it being too random/based on luck.

Sound effects keeps me away from playing this game.
