Let's Go Find El Dorado is a physics-based remake of Oregon Trail which plays a bit like Excite Bike, created by Justin Smith (Enviro-Bear 2000) as an entry for the 16th Ludum Dare competition. The rules of the game is similar to the original, though many of the resource management elements were either simplified or removed completely for this arcade-oriented version.

Your objective here is to guide the family wagon to the city of El Dorado safely, and to achieve this goal you will have to navigate treacherous mountain range, cross polluted rivers, and brave the dangers of visiting native tribe camps that might assist or impede your journey to the promised land. it doesnt even work on XP. what a load of crap

A game about moving to left. So fascinating.

Heh. That looks pretty entertaining.

Woo, I found El Dorado!

I just wish they had included shooting rabbits.

Awesome concept.

Seeing that cow bounce around is making me laugh :)

I've really got to start designing some abstract games...

Heh, yeah... the physics and the cow sounds are hilarious.

I really wish I didn't keep getting stuck between mountains. Also, hunting for food would have been nice. Otherwise, fun game.

You can just go backwards in order to line yourself up so you dont get stuck between mountains.

Also when I got to El Dorado I overshot the jump and died over the cliffs :( Whole family and one cow died.

This seems like the type of game which isn't really worth playing more than once.

But it sure was worth playing once.

it works on Wine! awesome! excellent game! loved it! :)

I too overshot el dorada.... 3 times in a row.... but its so funny that i consider it not a bug but a feature.

I agree that the most annoying thing about the game is generation of hill-combinations which are difficult to overcome, unless perhaps one uses risky tricks like saltos.

This is an amazing game.

Unbelievably hilarious (for me anyway).

i was laughing so hard.
