Irukandji is a score-based vertical shooter that currently contains only one level to play, although by beating the game for the first time you do get another ship that can be used for your subsequent attempts at unlocking more achievements. There are multipliers and power-up items to collect, and you can also destroy enemies with your special missile weapon by holding down the C key.

Players can only unlock two ships in the demo. The full version features six different ships, a full set of achievements, online high score tables, and will cost a dollar to purchase. (Mac/Windows, 11.7MB)

Awesome shooter and shmup fan must give this a go and for $1 it's a must make sure you have a beefy PC to run it though.

Runs great on an C2Duo E6400 with an Geforce 7900GTO... and thats not really a "beefy" system.
And the game is awesome, but could use a few more levels

it ran well on my 1.8GHz AMD64 with 512MB RAM and Geforce 7300GS (i had to use another pc for recording, of course)

Not bad, but the overabundance of transparent neon particles all over the place makes it really hard to tell what's going on at times.

On the plus side: native OS X version!

Interesting,. vert Minter-esq! I dig some of the visuals, but yeah, it is a tad over glowy to actually see all the shots,. I did not like the player inerta,. but I guess we are under liquid here. The Crab boss seems to shoot some patterns that leave NO way through,. not fair!

Thanks for the mention :)

I think it's a pretty fun game, i hope you all enjoy it.

Cheers

I paid 3, just like when IG recommended bullet candy perfect.
Super excited to go play this right now.
:)

This looks amazing!

Downloading now.

Congrats on the release!

Becomes reeeally easy on a slower machine. In a smooth slow motion action I can easily maneuvre between all of the boss' bullets.

Awesome work on graphical content, although I think that sometimes it is a bit overkill.

How do you change the resolution?

Impressive!, congrats!
