What's this, another bullet-ridden shmup? Look more closely, my friends, and you'll notice that those abilities up the right-hand side aren't for use by the lone hero ship - you're looking at the boss' weapons.

You've guessed it - Boss Rush puts you in control of a variety of killing machines as they attempt to stop the 'good guy' in its tracks. There are 'a respectable number of levels to play through', although what intrigues me is the Versus mode in which you can grab a friend and deal out the punishment to them, big boss style.

Coming very soon, so I'm told! Check out the Boss Rush site for more details.

Sounds pretty awesome.

Would be more interesting with graphics

very interesting danmaku, but the typeface choice is hugelly disastrous... :( - slanted typefaces destroys all the wish on playing it. sadly.

I thought this was just Warning Forever with new skin, but being the boss is very different.

Looks neat. I'll definitely try it out.

Oh, wow, this looks fantastic. I really can't wait to try out the Versus mode. A terrific idea.

I like the graphic style and the idea! Definitely a game to keep an eye on.

You should check out "Warning Forever". It's a couple of years old but it has the (exact?) same gameplay as described here.

This could be really awesome! I love the idea, at least for 2 players versus each other.

I do doubt the 1 player portion though. When watching the video it seems like you might get the feel that winning is terribly random: sometimes the AI manages to dodge your swarm of bullets, sometimes it doesn't.

That all depends on how advanced the timing system is made of course, so that it actually feels like you're tricking the AI, instead of it being random.

I got to test this game and believe me, winning isn't random. You'd think that with all that fire power you could crush those little ships, but they are pretty smart and very determined. It is a cool game and I wish they would launch it.
