Browser Game Pick: gnop (Bit Battalion)
gnop is a clever take on the arcade classic by Bit Battalion, with very minimal instructions given on how to play the game. This particular challenge doesn't really take longer than a couple of minutes to beat If you are good at deciphering cryptic clues and have a bit of skill to go along with it.

Good game, wouldn't call it brilliant.

Was anyone else a bit sad at the end screen?
....it's gone....forever....into the depths of space....

Eh, I thought it got boring after the first few screens

Haha, pretty neat and fun. I realize that this would defeat the concept, but I kind of wish that the game threw some curveballs at you, like having the "paddles" actually be holes on a level or paddles that can move around freely and other rule breakers.
Also, I wish it were longer, but I guess there isn't much you can do with it while staying true to Pong ideas..

Also, from "This is the easy side", I stopped moving the ball, and it went straight through the other levels and I finished the game.

Pong Karoshi. Except less clever.

I liked about half of the puzzles in this short game, such as "Motion Sensor," but not the rest, including the Easy Side / Hard side, which I still don't think I understand.
I did appreciate the ending, though, which made me feel a bit down as the ball lost its purpose in "life."

i like how the ball achieves freedom at the end. i saw it more as a positive ending.

Gnop! was the first computer game created and published by Bungie Studios. It was a simple Pong clone written and released nearly 20 years after the original. The name Gnop is simply Pong spelled backwards. The game was created by Alex Seropian in 1990, almost a year before Bungie's official incorporation.
